eBooks

Please follow the given steps to access eBooks:

  • Log in to your Student Account
  • Click on the “Subjects” tab from the homepage
  • Click on “All Subjects” and select a subject
  • Click on “Start Reading” to access the eBook.

For Mobile App:

Please follow the given steps to access eBooks:

  • Log in to your Student Account
  • Click on the “Subjects” tab from the bottom navbar
  • Select the subject and the chapter
  • Click on the selected chapter in the eBook section
  • Click on “Start Reading” to access the eBook.

Please follow the given steps to search for topics in eBook:

  • Open an eBook and select a Chapter from the Table of Contents.
  • On the left side of the panel, click on the “Search” icon and search for the content or keyword you are looking for.

Your search results will be displayed on the left side of the screen.

Please follow the given steps to write notes and scribble in the eBooks:

  • Login to your Student Account and click on “Subjects”
  • Select a Subject and choose the required Chapter
  • Choose an eBook
  • Click on “Start Reading” to open the eBook
  • Use the left-side panel to explore the navigation tools and features.

To Write Notes:

  • Select any text in the eBook
  • Click on the “Notes” icon to add your note
  • Write your notes and click on “Save Note”.

You can also view all your saved notes by clicking on the “Notes” icon from the panel on the left side of your screen.

To Scribble:

  • Click on the “Scribble Notes On” icon
  • Use the available tools to draw or write directly on the page
  • Click on “Save”.

You can access your saved scribbles anytime by clicking “Scribble Notes On” on the respective page.

Yes, you can. Please follow the given steps to listen to narration of the eBook:

  • Go to the page you want to listen the audio narration for
  • Click on the “Dictate On” icon from the panel on the left side of your screen.

Now, you can choose to play the entire page or individual paragraphs within the page.

Note: The dictate feature may not be available in all eBooks.

Please follow the given steps to attempt the In-book Quiz:

  • Login to your Student Account and click on “Subjects”
  • Select a Subject and choose a required Chapter
  • Choose an eBook
  • On the panel on the right side, you’ll see the option to choose “In-book Quiz”
  • Click on “In-book Quiz”
  • Choose a chapter you want to attempt
  • Start your quiz.

Or,

  • Choose an eBook
  • Click on “Start Reading/ Continue Reading”
  • Read and complete the chapter
  • On the last page, find In-book Quiz list titled “In-book Quizzes”
  • Choose a chapter and click on “Attempt Quiz”
  • Start your quiz.

After you have completed the quiz, you will receive a Diagnostic Report highlighting your strengths and improvement areas, and mastery of the chapter.

For Mobile App:

Please follow the given steps to attempt the In-book Quiz:

  • Login to your Student Account and click on “Subjects”
  • Select a “Subject” and choose a required Chapter
  • Choose an eBook
  • Click on “In-book Quiz”
  • Choose a chapter you want to attempt
  • Start your quiz.

Please follow the given steps to submit an eBook Assignment:

  • Login to your Student Account
  • Click on the bell icon on the top right of your homepage to view assignment-related notices
  • Here, you can directly click on “Submit Assignment” to submit your assignment.

You can also submit an Assignment by navigating from your homepage:

  • Click on the “Classrooms” tab on the homepage
  • Click on “Assignments”
  • Choose the subject you would like to submit the assignment for
  • Here, you can view pending Assignments from the “Open Assignments” tab
  • Select and fill in the required fields and upload the necessary files
  • Click on “Submit Assignment”.

Please follow the given steps to use the Topic-wise Video QR Codes:

  • Open the ‘mySecondTeacher Nepal’ App
  • Click on “More” option at the bottom-right corner
  • Select “Scan QR Code”
  • Place the scanner over the video QR code. You can also scan it using your phone’s default camera.

You will be instantly redirected to the required video allowing you to learn anytime, anywhere!

Please follow the given steps to use the Table of Contents QR Codes:

(Note: Physical books include QR codes for each chapter in the Table of Contents)

  • Open the ‘mySecondTeacher Nepal’ App
  • Click on “More” option at the bottom-right corner
  • Select “Scan QR Code”
  • Point your camera at the chapter’s QR code
    • You can also scan it by using your phone’s default camera.

You will be instantly redirected to the selected chapter in the eBook for quick and easy learning!

Please follow the given steps to access Teaching Resources :

  • Login to your Teacher Account
  • Go to the “Teaching Resources” tab
  • Click on “All Subjects” and select an eBook
  • Choose the relevant “Chapter” and click on the eBook for your preferred subject
  • Click on “Review eBook” to access the eBook.

Please follow the given steps to assign an eBook as an Assignment:

  • Login to your Teacher Account and select “Give Assignment” from the Action Card
  • Choose the “eBook Assignment” option
  • At the top, click on “eBook Assignment” and pick the desired eBook
  • Select a chapter and click on “Preview” to view the pages
  • Choose the pages you want to assign
  • Fill in the required details, set a deadline, and (optionally) schedule the assignment for a later date
  • Click on “Continue”
  • Click on “Assign” to complete the process.

Once done, the eBook assignment will be successfully created.

Please follow the given steps to assign an In-book Quiz as an Assignment:

  • Login to your Teacher Account and click on “Give Assignment” from the Action Card
  • Select “eBook Assignment” and click on “Continue”
  • At the top, choose “In-book Quiz Assignment” and select the desired eBook, then click “Continue”
  • Choose your preferred Chapter
  • Fill in the required details, set a deadline, and (optionally) schedule the assignment for a later date
  • Click on “Continue”
  • Click “Assign” to complete the process.

Your In-book Quiz Assignment will be successfully created.

Please follow the given steps to switch User Modes:
For eBooks

  • Open an eBook
  • Click the option in the top-right corner of the screen (highlighted in purple, labeled either Teaching Mode or Self-Assess Mode)
  • Select “Click Here” and select the preferred mode
  • Click “Save Mode”.

For Interactive Videos (IVys)

  • Open an Interactive Videos (IVys)
  • Click the option in the top-right corner of the screen (highlighted in purple, labeled either Teaching Mode or Self-Assess Mode)
  • Select “Click Here” and select the preferred mode
  • Click “Save Mode”.
